<stepDesc>DEM, and 1ft Contours: Breaklines for hydrographic features are digitized using the intensity values of the lidar data along with publicly available imagery from ESRI. The hydrographic features, include water bodies &gt; 1 acre and wide rivers &gt; 50ft wide. Elevation values from the lidar data are conflated to the “z-values” of the features using QCoherent’s LP360 software. Elevation values are conflated to the river centerline at 9ft intervals with a downstream constraint algorithm. The elevation values from the river centerlines are copied to the surrounding wideriver polygon verteces, which flattens the wide river from stream bank to stream bank. Elevation values for the water body polygons are added as an attribute to the feature class based on the minimum lidar elevation value along the shoreline of the water body. The Ground points (class 2) within a 3' buffer of waterbody and wideriver polygons are removed from the Ground surface model. The remaining lidar Ground points and breakline feature classes are used to create a DEM with 3ft cell resolution. The contours are created from the DEM. The contours are edited in the following manner: Lines shorter than 18ft (2 raster cells) are removed. The contour lines are smoothed using a PAEK algorithm with a 3m smoothing tolerance. Attributes are added for 10ft, 20ft, and 50ft Index contours. A hillshade is created of the DEM using default ESRI illumination parameters..</stepDesc>
